The project task was to create a 30 second film with the choice of 4 genres being action, horror, sci-fi or comedy. I chose to do a horror film. I planned on making a dark horror where the character walks to a train crossing and gets hit by a train obviously committing suicide. I planned for pretty much the whole film to be set at night.
Before I filmed my project I done some research on influencers, product placement, genre conventions, click-bait, leading lines etc, target audiences, Edgar Wright and social media teasers. A lot of this research I found quite helpful especially genre conventions and learning about stuff like leading lines also learning about Edgar Wright helped to shorten my film to 30 seconds. I could've improved my research by just generally research things a bit more and doing more practical examples myself, this would've probably of made my project look better.

The target audience for my 30 second film are mainly young adults to late 20's, it's definitely tailored towards the age bracket of 15-18. Everyone who has seen my 30 second film thinks it's good and that it's gets across the message, one person also it gives off a good creepy vibe to which I agree. The feedback I got was mostly positive everyone liked the song choice, the ambiance and the eeriness, someone also thought the ending was very powerful. The only cons I really got was to improve on sound leveling to which I completely agree.
Throughout this project I've definitely improved on my research skills, editing skills and filming skills. As I've never properly edited before I feel I have definitely improved a lot with that. I have learnt to use Wix, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop and zoom. There were a lot of challenges for instance I had to record with my phone and because I didn't have lighting I had to use a bike light. I still need to get better at editing and researching for sure but that's pretty much it. The skills I have learnt through this project can definitely help me produce more project like in the future.

I am really happy with the feedback I got, it came out as well as it could to be completely honest. I fully agree with everything people have said and I agree that in order to improve my film i'd need to sort out the sound leveling. The impact on the audience if I change it would be that they don't get ear damage from the volume.
